This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Ad-Hoc, Mobile, and Wireless Networks, ADHOC-NOW 2009, held in Murcia, Spain, in September 2008.

The 24 revised full papers and the 10 short papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 92 submissions. The papers deal with advances in Ad-Hoc networks, mesh networks, sensor networks and vehicular networks.
