Milk is one of the most complete foods for human beings, given the characteristics of its nutrients, such as proteins that contain a large amount of essential amino acids for food, where it is also the source of more than 20 essential nutrients. Considering these aspects in livestock, there are different production systems: Specialized: It is located in the highlands and north of Mexico, where the characteristic climates are temperate, arid and semi-arid; their production systems include mechanization both to produce fodder and for milking. The family dairy is that dairy activity that is characterized by using preponderantly unpaid family labor. Dual purpose in this system the cow remains some hours in the field and the rest of the day in the corral. Semi-specialized system is located in the central and northern highlands of the country. In addition to all this, there are environmental factors that limit or help production, another important factor is the nutrition of the animals by providing them with energy, protein and minerals, these elements are essential for growth, development and production.
