Samenvatting:

By being guided to look at their eyes beyond the diagnosis of a problem, readers will come to understand that their visual symptoms are valuable messages through which they can be more aware of their true nature. If an eye problem exists, a person can gain the skills to modify his or her perceptions. As the author asserts, looking is trainable when people see consciously. Each chapter in this book is divided into three parts. First, the author provides an explanation of a theory. Next, the author offers a personal story from his case files to give a practical example of the theory. Finally, readers are given an exercise to consider and use in their lives. This is accomplished with a photograph or series of image collages. Each image is sequenced to stimulate and awaken conscious seeing. By completing specific questions about their past, readers will have a glimpse into the mystery of their nature of consciousness.
