ThegoaloftheDSOMworkshopsistobringtogetherresearchers intheareasofnetwork,systems,andservicesmanagement,frombothindustry andacademia,todiscussrecentadvancesandfosterfuturegrowthinthis?eld. Incontrasttothelargermanagementsymposia,suchasIM(IntegratedMa- gement)andNOMS(NetworkOperationsandManagementSymposium),the DSOMworkshopsareorganizedassingle-trackprogramsinordertostimulate interactionamongparticipants. ThefocusofDSOM2002is"Makinge-commerceande-businessapplications successfulthroughmanagement.
