The essays included in this collection have mostly been delivered as speeches to mostly non-theist groups, cheerleading before atheist or humanist gatherings, sermons in Unitarian Universalist churches, lectures in academic settings or homilies for the dozens of weddings I have performed. I've tossed in a few barbed op-ed essays which first appeared in local newsprint as well.
