The Refuge abuse recovery curriculum was designed to give any person the information and skills to compassionately engage a teenager with therapeutic tools while discussing the topic of abuse. It is modeled as a psycho-educational and trauma-informed support group, and it is particularly effective for teen and young adult participants.The illustrations, video clips and artistic activities contained in the curriculum format allow group participants the opportunity to process emotions and experiences through means outside of language.
