There exists a force so powerful we cannot speak its true name. The Taoist calls it wu wei. A scientist might term it sub-neural effluence. Our ancient ancestors surely thought of it as magic, the breath of the gods flowing around and through them. It exists as a state somewhere between thought and action, reach and grasp. Letting go of forced effort. Perfect harmony with the universe itself that allows a moment, a period, a game, a lifetime when transcendence is possible. It is beyond the scope of this book and the powers of its writer to name this phenomenon, but for our purposes, we will call it Flow.
