In the context of long-duration and decentralized space missions, efficient and secure energy distribution is critical. Tradi-tional energy management systems are not designed to handle the dynamic, distributed, and often disconnected environ-ments of space. This paper presents a blockchain-enabled energy grid architecture tailored for space missions, which inte-grates decentralized consensus mechanisms with distributed energy resource (DER) coordination. The proposed system en-hances fault tolerance, tamper resistance, and autonomy in energy management among satellites, lunar bases, and space stations. We analyze system performance under constrained network conditions and demonstrate how lightweight consensus mechanisms, such as Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (PBFT), improve scalability and energy efficiency.
