Mary's mother attempts to abort her, but Mary survives to become an orphan from day one, suffering physical and emotional scars. After being bullied for years, Mary gives birth to a mentally handicapped son. He is her first and only love. Neurotically, she and Tim bond through breastfeeding. When Mary's breasts go dry, she hires prostitutes with whom Tim creates several pregnancies so the women can provide breast milk for Tim, but the pregnancies end under suspicious circumstances. When a prostitute threatens to leave, Mary kidnaps her, but the woman is discovered by a TV cable installer. He and the prostitute are murdered to keep Mary's lifestyle secret, but karma prevails with the help of a bill collector and a car wreck.
