Nobody is immune to grief. Death is a natural part of life but when it takes a child, it's a different kind of pain. Alani is my eight-week-old granddaughter that was taken home to be with Jesus. We were not prepared for what would happen during those precious hours though. We never thought guilty until proven innocent would be the stigma placed on us so quickly. We were robbed of the most important thing - time. Time we can't get back. Time we needed. As a grandparent, the gut punch is doubled. Jesus Christ has walked with me through this journey and my prayer is that my story helps someone else.
