This book was compiled due to a request from a university lecturer at Brighton University in the year which I think was 1998. I was at that time a student studying interior architecture, and the request until now was never complete as I was never very good at meeting deadlines, much to my detriment. Anyway, the question that was given to me was the difference between architecture and building?a question that at that time I was unable to answer and still can?t. However, in order to answer this question, I embarked on a journey of research into the realms of architectural philosophy and writings, which took many years as the more I read, the more confused I became.
