Alex Hicks is a police detective and (closeted) magic user, enjoying a lavish Melbourne lifestyle with his hot, rich, adoring boyfriend.

But when he is forced to reveal himself as a magician to his colleagues, he is drawn into a horrific magic case involving the faculty of Melbourne Magic School and a summoned abomination called a revenant.
