Growing up Travis was always the last kid picked. He felt embarrassed that no one wanted him on their team. He tried very hard to impress his peers but it seemed like more he tried the worse his situation became. Travis did not want to go to school because the situation had gotten so bad. Desperate for answers Travis' mom reaches out to professionals to find answers as to why her son is unique. In this book Travis describes what it felt like to be the last kid picked in everything he did in school. Travis developed negative self-esteem and to this day has a lot of post-traumatic stress disorder from being the last kid picked. Travis states that he feels it is every child's nightmare to be the last kid picked because you really want to be liked by your peers.
