Samenvatting:

This is a true story of a boy in a bed.

A boy who spent four and a half years of his life in a battle to breathe!

The boy wanted to escape his bed, but to do so he had to be brave and daring, and seek out the most unlikely place where he might be able to fight for life, and win.

He left the bed and headed to a river.

There, on the chilling water, and in the cold damp winter air, he stepped into a boat – and made a quite unlikely escape.

He rowed down rivers, and in seas, until 'The Boy in the Bed' became 'The Man in the Boat', and then he decided to row across a whole ocean all on his own.

In the middle of the ocean he balanced life and death once more. So many times the boy in the bed had narrowly avoided death, but now in the most hostile place of all, he fought for his life one more time.

Lost in the Atlantic ocean, the boy and the man come together for the last time, to attempt to save one another's lives.
