Samenvatting:

The New Empire is a time in the history of ancient Egypt that begins around 1560 BC and ends in 1070 BC. It includes the 18th, 19th, and 20th Dynasties, which ruled from the capital Thebes. It is an era of prosperity and imperialism, during which the pharaohs ruled a territory from the fourth Nile cataract to the Euphrates river. The archetype of the military king was Thutmose III (1504 - 1450 BC), who through his military campaigns elevated the status of Egypt to the highest military power in the ancient Middle East, turning the Egyptian army into the most formidable war machine of the time. The objective of this military strategic simulation will be to see how it would have been possible for Egypt, from 1560 BC - after the expulsion of the Hyksos - to conquer, consolidate and maintain the Levant during the 18th, 19th and 20th Dynasties, until 1070 BC, facing similar objectives, those of the Mitanni and the Hitites. Thus, in this book, the Egyptian Empire will be played, while the actions of the other states will be simulated based on historical events.
