2026 marks the 250th anniversary of American independence.

A world No One Imagined describes how America was shaped into a new society and a new country over the course of two hundred years leading up to independence by the interactions – often peaceful and mutually beneficial but frequently violent and exploitive – of Native Peoples, Europeans, and Africans.

There was much adventure, trade and romance, but also wars, slavery and rebellions.

The result was a new and unique society, one with many problems but also many freedoms and opportunities as well.
