When Thomas Alva Edison asks for information, most feel compelled to give it. Not University of Washington professor Benjamin Bradshaw. Bradshaw and his investigative partner Henry Pratt join Seattle police detective James O'Brien to narrow suspects, but Bradshaw's intuition fails him.
