Actually, I'm Autistic

Unmask and live authentically as your amazing autistic self

The more we learn about autism, the more we see how it affects girls and women in ways that might look different from what we’ve been taught to expect. More and more women are realizing that because they didn’t fit certain stereotypes, they missed out on an accurate diagnosis that would have helped them understand who they are and seek the support they needed. Instead, they’ve lived their whole lives behind a mask, trying to act neurotypical when they are, as the popular hashtag says, #ActuallyAutistic.

One of those women is Katherine L’Etang, aka @TheNeurodiversityMom. It wasn’t until her children were diagnosed with autism (and later, ADHD) that she realized she was autistic too. Since then, she’s been on a journey of self-discovery and healing, sharing her insights with her online community along the way. And with this book, she’ll share them with you.

Inside, you’ll find:

• Info on common ways autism can present in women and nonbinary people
• Tips for autistic friendships and romantic relationships
• How to pursue a formal diagnosis (if at all)
• Guidance on parenting neurodivergent kids when you’re neurodivergent too

...and much more.

Learn how to accept yourself for who you are and embrace autistic joy with this trove of practical anecdotes and advice.
