Healing the Brain

From one of the world’s leading concussion researchers, a revolutionary evidence-based guide to healing from a traumatic brain injury

Concussions are one of the most debilitating medical episodes a person can have, and one of the most mysterious. More than 40 million Americans will suffer one each year, and yet the diagnostic criteria for even identifying them is murky—and the ideal path to recovery still murkier.

Dr. Teena Shetty has spent her career developing a revolutionary paradigm for helping patients fully recover from concussions. With Healing the Brain, she finally shares her method with the world. Revelations include:

1. Sleep: why you simply can’t get enough of it (think 14+ hours a day)
2. Diet: the science behind why protein is so important in concussion recovery, and the most effective ways to get more of it
3. Exercise: what type, how much, and when it’s safe to reintroduce it back into your life
4. Mindfulness: the hidden benefits of meditation, acupuncture, and other tools for healing
5. And much more…

Healing the Brain offers a hopeful path forward, helping concussion sufferers return to the full person they were before.
